This post is about the 101 I’m attempting. You’ve heard about it before. I’ve updated the 101 page with fancy colors and other codes to indicate progress. Take a look!
In general, here’s where I am.
Bethsix
The main thing I’m working on is trying to establish a habit of posting on weekdays. I’ve been semi-successful. If you call boring posts like this “successful.” Heh.
Giving
I’m hoping to get rid of donate a bunch of stuff to the kids’ school for their annual clothing swap and garage sale, but that’s going to require a little more work than is possible from someone without the ability to move. That should happen this weekend, though, if it does at all.
As far as the blood donating, I have renewed resolve after this post and the resulting discussion over at Swistle’s place. When Archer turned one a couple months ago, I looked into places to donate, but I swear to you, I could not find a single place nearby that wanted my blood. I have no idea why. I’ll look again after the kids start school this week.
Family
I kinda suck at the Family category. We’re about to implement some new rules and checklists and stuff when school starts, so that’s the backpack deal.
Finances
This category makes it look like I’m kicking ass, but really, we just got a home equity loan to pay off a bunch of stuff and finance some other projects. Still, it’s pretty sweet to have no credit card or other credit balances.
Friends
Eh. I should probably get some better goals. Or better friends. Heh.
Health
I’m going to the dentist next week, so there’s that. I keep telling myself I need to start the B6 and magnesium supplements back up now that Archer has weaned. But then I shut the medicine cabinet every morning and forget about it.
Home
The landscaping people are coming next week to give us a quote on our “backyard” area! (Maybe clean up the dog vomit first?)
Travel
Viva Le Fossil Rim!
Work
Work is a work in progress. I did actually talk to the manager, but nothing is really resolved, and I don’t know if it will be. I’ve worked on my CV, but it’s not done either.
Surely, there is some lovely organization that would like to pay me many real dollars to continue writing this blog on the Internetz. Right? RIGHT?
Whimsy
What can I say. I am not very whimsical.
We are actually going shopping this tax-free weekend for clothing, but that is primarily for the benefit of The Children.
