Green! and Bethsack! Last Day!

5 March 2010 · 7 comments

Kieran has admired rainbow mohawks for a really long time. I gave him the cut back in November, but we sorta ignored the color part until now.

Not rainbow, but he likes it.

Anneke wanted in on the fun too, so she has some stripes.

Bethsack! Ends Today, Friday, March 5th, 6 p.m. CST

  • Bethsack! is being created in the spirit of Whimsy‘s Plain White Box. Winner commits to hosting his or her own pay-it-forward give!away! in this same spirit. If winner does not have a blog or other social platform from which to host give!away!, I am happy to host give!away! here (your rules, your stuff and whatevs).
  • Bethsack! will be an actual SACK (or BAG) full of stuff. Great, great mystery stuff.
  • You can win Bethsack! both by commenting on my posts this week (one entry per day) or by submitting random question(s) for me to answer at a later date *, either to the text box over there in the righthand sidebar or to my formspring profile (unlimited entries!).
  • In order to get credit for any questions submitted to me via formspring, you have to either toggle the “Include Your User Info” radio button, note your identity in your question(s) somehow, or email me (ixbeths (at) gmail (dot) com), and let me know how many questions you submitted anonymously.
  • Minionlympics supporters (SILVAH, thankyouverymuch) started with additional entries, as detailed here.
  • Winner will be determined, probably on Monday the 8th, in some fair way, either by random number generator some-a-ma-schnoozle or by child picking from container or something. Depends on whether I’m feeling more analog or digital that day.

* Shanna asked if she was missing my answers to the formspring questions. Ahhhh. Yesssss. I should probably have clarified that, huh? So, THOSE questions are just accumulating in my formspring account to be used as blog fodder later. There is, actually, a note about that in the rules above, but I probably should’ve made it more explicit. Sorey, eh?

eh? lul

I don’t like winning stuff, so I haven’t been reading the bethsac’s stuff. I just skim through and look for good stuff. Like green hair and cute children.

I like the way children get an energy about them when you pay attention to them. Its like they don’t know what to do with themselves. I wish when I first started babysitting as a teenager I knew all that I know now about kids. Its seems like we all have to start somewhere I guess.

I think a lot of us look back and wish we knew now what we didn’t know then.

I know I do. The weird part is, I know in a couple years, I’ll look back and wish I knew then (now) as much as my future self (will) know. If that makes any sense at all. Which is not likely.

LOVE the mohawk! I am glad I am not the only mom who does that to her boys- my youngest of the big boys had a blue one for awhile :)

I wish I could put images in comments. I’d show you.

There are a few of my questions that I’m PARTICULARLY excited about you answering. I’ll let you guess which ones.

I think all Friday’s should end with a couple of cutie green-haired kids.

Kieran is rocking the mohawk! When we to Sesame Street Live last weekend (never again), there was a rocker family there with two small kids. The little boy had a mohawk and an Elmo t-shirt. He was adorable.
