Project Runway, Betches!

I actually have accumulated a few stories for the telling, but I can’t share just yet because, well, Project Runway. Duh. T minus seven minutes. Get thy tranny ass to a television! Post-haste!

In the meantime, take a gander at my big girl. Admittedly, NOT the best photograph of her. But it captures what it needs to capture: her first missing tooth!

The middle one on her bottom right, not middle top right. That one looks weird and gross because it’s hanging on by the thread of a thread. The giganto space next to it has developed in just the last couple weeks as the tooth has shifted in her gums.

She’s always had the most perfectly spaced and sized Chicklet teeth. To the point that people would comment on them. All of a sudden, they’re shifting around, turning darker, and even physically dropping, as they get loose. NOT something I remembered about losing baby teeth.

It has me a bit freaked out, actually. I mean, she just turned five in June, and she’s only in her first week of Kindergarten. It seems early for parts of her baby self to be sloughing off.

I think a part of me died when Ben lost his first tooth. She’s freaking adorable, yo.

She’s so cute! And those eyes!

My son had three sets of teeth. That’s right, three. He started to lose his baby teeth very early and then when the second set started to fall out I was completely freaked. He’s the kind of kid who’s extremely intense and can’t leave a scab alone and I thought that he was pulling his teeth out. It was horrible… So, I took him to the doctor and the dentist (because I need a second, third and fourth opinion sometimes) and they told me that while unusual, it does happen. I’m only telling this story in case you’re one of the lucky ones too – five does seem a little young and I’m running on and on here in case you have that situation too.

The good news is that he’s 14 now and the third set of teeth are big and beautiful and seem to be firmly in place.

I’ll shut up now.

Three! He’s like a shark!

Five is young, right? Her older brother (by three years) just lost his first tooth a little over a year ago. Her other top middle is pretty loose now too. Gah.
