I’ve had a blog, in one form or another, off and on, for 4 1/2 years. But I never really took it seriously until recently.
It started when I found Matt Logelin’s blog last December. I was nothing if not transformed by reading it. It had been a long time since I’d read anything that resonated so clearly with me. I read it from beginning to end and rediscovered the power of reading and writing along the way.
Since then, I’ve gotten all fancy with my RSSs and shit. Heh. I’ve become obsessed with finding things to read that speak to me in some way, and that inspire me to think and write.
For posterity, following are my favorites this week:
(drrrrrrrumroll)
- Breed ‘Em and Weep – Fifth of July – Just beautiful.
- The Creamery – Three Things (The Third) – Maybe it’s just me, but I think Whimsy’s hysterical.
- The Days are JUST Packed – He’ll Be in Therapy for YEARS – I am so starting this with Griffon.
- The Meanest Mom – The Ride of My Life – I cannot compete with this ride of horror. And *I’ve* seen photos of a stranger’s vagina in full birth-giving glory on a plane.
- Momtrolfreak – The Picture of Health – “Nah. Has to be sleep apnea.”
- Motherhood in NYC – uPhone and Michael Jackson’s Death is Tearing Our Family Apart – I swear I almost put a third from Marinka on this list. That’s how much I’m loving this blog.
- The Wind in Your Vagina – Monsters – Pure awesome.
Check ‘em.
Dangit, now I’m going to have to add yet another of your recommendations to my Google Reader.

Oh no, not more good blog reading!
Here I am stranded at the airport in Atlanta at 3:35 a.m.- stuck here until 2:30 p.m. because we missed our flight due to a storm. Had to sit on the plane for FOUR+ hours in Dallas.
So I’m reading blogs instaed of sleeping like I should be.
Oh well, there’s always tomorrow!
